Kitchens On A Budget

Creating a kitchen on a budget is really easy these days. There is so much choice from the large kitchen warehouses as well as sourcing materials from second hand shops and online from Gumtree.com or eBay.

First thing you need to do is to look at the space that you want to utilize for your kitchen. Is your kitchen a self contained room or is it going to be part of the living area. The latter is usually the case for a studio apartment.

A budget kitchen in a studio apartment should take up as little space as possible but have all the storage that is required.

All kitchens need the following items:

Kitchen Sink

Kitchen Units

Kitchen Counter Tops

Kitchen Hob

Kitchen Oven or Microwave Oven

Kitchen Cutlery

Kitchen Crockery

Pots and Pans

The best thing to do is to set a budget and make sure you stick to it. If you find any items that go over your budget, look at alternative places to source them. You may be lucky and find that some one is having a house clearance and have advertised this on Gumtree.com. You could end up furnishing your whole kitchen for free. The only things that I would definitely prefer to buy as new is kitchen cutlery, crockery, pots and pans. These can be bought fairly cheaply.
